| #1 | As I'm sure most of you guys already know, the B-29 is no more. It was lost in a crash Saturday, September 13th at a fly-in in western Kentucky. The right wing separated from the aircraft while recovering from the flat spin after dropping the X-1. Its truly the end of an era, but brighter days will follow.

MAC I feel for ya man! When I first saw the picture my gut knotted up! Then the video, it went in hard. Would not be nearly as bad if we hadn't just lost Dan. He'd a cussed a lil....well a lot.... then started planning a new one! |

Mac, I am so sorry on you recent loses, I do believe there is a blessing in all of this for you, I had the pleasure of seeing your AMAzing flights on the B-29, on two occasions and both left me breathless, to see the way you handle that huge plane, in the air with calmness, my wife shot a video of you at seff 08 flying, and I look at it often, I know you will probably build another one soon I read some where on the web that there are two cuts made for the plane and who knows maybe an all electric B-29 with 4 Humongous electric motors and few thousand $$$ in lipos for SEFF 09, anyway, my prayers are with you. Bob
